About Automatic Bidder

Automatic Bidder is an automated bid process designed to assist with bidding during the auction event even when you are away from your computer. To use Automatic Bidder, determine the top price you're willing to pay for a particular property. When submitting your bid, you enter the maximum amount you would be willing to pay into the Automatic Bidder box. The Automatic Bidder system then compares your bid to those of the other bidders. The Automatic Bidder system places bids on your behalf, using only as much of your bid as is necessary to maintain your high bid position. Automatic Bidder only bids one bid increment at a time against an opposing bidder and will bid up to your maximum amount. Once you reach your Automatic Bidder maximum, you will automatically receive a notification email.
Important Note: If you are the current high bidder and want to place a Automatic Bidder or raise your current Automatic Bidder, you will be required to place a bid equal to the next bid increment in order to place or increase your Automatic Bidder amount. If the bidding for a property is moving rapidly and you try to place a bid that is lower than the current leading bid, but your Automatic Bidder amount is higher than the leading bid, your bid will be taken at the next available bid increment above the current leading bid. For example: If the current leading bid is $100,000 and you place a bid of $99,000 with a Automatic Bidder amount of $105,000, the computer will reject the $99,000 but will accept and place your bid at the next bid increment of $101,000 (assuming a bid increment of $1,000). You will then be protected up to your maximum Automatic Bidder amount of $105,000 against any other bidders.
Automatic Bidder is extremely helpful if you must be away from your computer during the close of the auction bidding. It is also useful if you are bidding on several properties and want to ensure all of your bids are placed properly during the close of the bidding. Occasionally at the close of an event, a few bidders may have difficulty placing their bids due to heavy bidder congestion or slow connection speeds of their computer or ISP.
Automatic Bidder is used as a tiebreaker. For example, if two bidders end in a tie for a property, the bidder who placed the bid first through Automatic Bidder will be declared the winner because the Automatic Bidder was the first bid placed and has priority over the other bidder; however, if your Automatic Bidder pushes another bidder to their maximum Automatic Bidder amount, you will be required to top that bidders amount by the next bid increment. The system will not allow you to just match another bidder's maximum bid, unless both Automatic Bidder amounts are exactly the same. In this rare case only, the first Automatic Bidder amount entered into the bidding system wins.
Refreshing The Listings Bid Page

The bid page should be refreshed often to assure the most current bids are being viewed. Located on the right side of Bid Page is a button to refresh the page. These buttons should be clicked every few minutes if you are watching properties during an event, because if you click the "Back" button on your screen to go back to a property or a page, you may be working with outdated bid amounts. To quickly refresh the screen during a bidding event, press the F5 key at the top of most keyboards. This is a shortcut key for refresh.
